Obituary of Kathryn Mary Lemenchick (nee Campbell)

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Kathryn Mary Lemenchick on October 26, 2025 at the age of 94.  Born May 18, 1931 in Clyde Forks, Ontario.  Kathy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Beloved wife of John (deceased 2015) for 65 years. Much loved Mother of Thomas (Mary Jane), Heather (Brian Switzer- deceased 2024), Barbara (Fred Johns), James (Susan) and Kevin (Jill).  Much loved Grandma of Jeff Johns (Eliane Dumont-Frenette), Jennifer (Troy Sturtevant), Gregory (Lindsey), Leslie (John Ivany), Kelley (Nathan Jaros), Katie (Jason Minicola), Julia, Allison (Ivan McKenna), and Great Grandmother of Simon, Emma, Alexandre, Kara, Alyssa, Evelyn, James, Lawson, Carter, Lucy, and Cooper. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Wesley and Mabel Campbell and her siblings Anna Ferguson, Betty Hopkins, Evan, Lorna Kluke, Vernon and Evelyn Coughlan. Survived by brother-in-law Don Coughlan. Special Aunt of many nieces and nephews.  

Kathy lived a full life and enjoyed spending time with her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   After many years of postings across Canada with John’s RCAF career, settled in Ottawa. Proudly worked at Charles Ogilvy’s in the Linen Department for 19 years. President, Volunteer Committee of Sophia 1 Condominium for over 25 years, and friend of Eunice, Thelma and Fran.
