Obituary of Marija Iveglia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marija Iveglia at the age of 90 years. Devoted and loving wife of the late Pietro Iveglia for 59 years.

Loving and devoted mother to Peter (Jill) and Lorenzo (Carla). Loving Nonna to Anjelica, Cristopher, Kyle and Katrina.  Predeceased by her parents Lovre and Kata Sangaletti (nee Barbic), brothers Ivan and Tonci Sangaletti and sister Andrica.

She lived a full life, always surrounded by the love of family. We would like to thank the Queensway Carleton Palliative Care Unit, especially Rob and Dan for their compassionate care to our mother!

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Interment will follow.  In honour of Marija donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
