Obituary of Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Boucher
With faith in God’s promise of eternal life, our beloved Elizabeth (Betty) Boucher passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 20, 1937, to Philias and Clementine Marion, Betty was the tenth of eleven children.
Betty’s greatest passions were her family and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which she joyfully shared with everyone she met. She had a deep love for people and a remarkable gift for offering encouragement. Betty was one of the kindest and most caring individuals one could ever meet.
As beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, her radiant smile lit up every room she entered.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 56 years, Harvey Boucher, and their four cherished children: Gina (Darren), Glenn (Tracey), Sheri-Lynn (Phil), and Tanya (Todd). Betty was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren—Amber, Austin, Whitney, Emily, Jason, Haley, Mercedes, Olivia, Ethan, Landen, Taylor, and Sienna—and a great-grandmother to sixteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved with all her heart.
She is also survived by two loving sisters, Margaret and Helen.
Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Ontario Health at Home, and to the nurses and personal support workers of Carefor and Bayshore Healthcare, whose compassionate care and support made it possible for Betty to remain at home.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
