Obituary of Edmund Kolbusz

After a courageous struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (atypical Parkinsonism), Edmund died peacefully in the presence of his family.

Edmund was a retired teacher/department head. He taught English in schools in the Ottawa Catholic School Board (Lester B Pearson, Notre Dame)  where he produced and directed many theatrical performances. He also taught at Lambert Highschool in Cumming, GA.

He was the Creative Director for the 40th Anniversary Celebration Show (1984) for OECTA. Chaired the Variety Show component of the Ottawa Archdiocese 50th Anniversary Celebrations, held at the former Corel Centre. Edmund acted in plays in several venues in the Ottawa area. He also wrote and had published a novel entitled Blood Shinobi.

Edmund loved his dog JP and his blue Fiat Spider Convertible.

The utmost appreciation to the care staff at Park Place Assisted Living for their support of Edmund’s many needs.

He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Sophie Kolbusz. Loving  brother of Bogdan (Lise Roy-Kolbusz); uncle of Stephanie and David.
