In loving memory of Mrs. Rusak — She was such a strong and independent woman, and she remained so throughout her life.
She always took great joy and pride in her garden — I’ll never forget her insistence that we go out and dig up onions together the last time Peter and I visited.
Her kitchen was the centre and heart of her home. I always seemed to visit when she was making blueberry perogies — a simple yet powerful reminder of the care and cultural traditions she cherished and proudly passed on.
She will be deeply missed, but I hope there is comfort in knowing she truly lived a full life.

Mrs. Rusak was always a delight to see when I got to deliver. She always asked how I was and how my kids and parents are. So very thoughtful. And her garden! Smelled amazing, especially those onions! She will be in my memories forever.
My condolences to the family.
