Obituary of Lorraine Meikle

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine Andrée Meikle (nee Bourbonnière) announces her peaceful passing in Ottawa, Ontario on July 11, 2025 at the age of 90 yrs.

Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband Robert Calder Meikle of 70 years. Loving mother of her children Robert Reginald (Dawn), John (Cindy) and Donald (Melanie). Grandmother of Meaghan, Kerri, Colan, Samantha, Jennifer, Olivia & Erik, in addition to 6 great grandchildren. 

Lorraine was born and raised in Montreal where she met Robert and then moved to the West Island in 1973 where she raised her own family. She was passionate for sports which included figure skating at a young age and playing softball in her later years. Not to mention her lifelong passion for hockey she shared with her husband and sons through the years. In her work life, Lorraine was an accomplished salesperson and excelled to General Manager Canada for Givenchy Perfume.

Lorraine had great taste in fashion, was funny and enjoyed playing or watching a variety of games, and loved her boys and family very much.
