Obituary of Gerald Winston Smith

Peacefully, in his 91st year, during the evening of Friday, June 27, 2025.

Gerry Smith, formerly of Montreal, QC. Beloved husband of Ethel Smith since 1956. Loving father of Russell (late Laurie-Jean, 2021) and Peter (Helen). Proud Grandpa of Patricia (Mark) of Peterborough, Derek (Moran) of Toronto, and Adrianna of Kanata. Gerry is pre-deceased by his brother Arthur (1972) and his sister Audrey (2017), and is survived by his sister Patricia Martin. He is remembered by several nieces and nephews and other family members and friends across Canada.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata, Ontario. A Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Light refreshments to follow the service.

Inurnment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
