Born in 1948 to Judge Arthur Thurlow and Mabel Thurlow, James—known to many simply as Jim or Papa—was a man of deep compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

He was the devoted husband of Deborah Thurlow, with whom he shared a life built on love, loyalty, and partnership. Together, they raised a close and loving family. James was a proud father to Chris Thurlow and Karen Thurlow, and a cherished grandfather to Austin, Cameron, and Makenzie Forsythe, Noah and Kianna Thurlow, and Cody and Madison Thurlow. His family was the center of his world, and he gave his all to support, guide, and protect them.

James was a true entrepreneur—a self-made businessman whose work ethic, ingenuity, and resilience earned him the respect of many. But beyond his accomplishments, he was a man known for his generosity, his loyalty, and the quiet way he cared for everyone around him.
