Obituary of Ronald Renwick

With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Ronald Richard Renwick, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on June 15, 2025, on Father’s Day and not long after losing the love of his life, Therese Renwick. It seems he simply couldn’t bear to be away from her.

He was the king of dad jokes, master of The Beatles and the only man who thought socks with sandals were a solid fashion choice.

Though his wit was sharp, his love ran even deeper. He adored his children, Keith and Kimberly and was immensely proud of how they turned out, despite his “creative” parenting techniques. His grandchildren, Hailey and Nathan brought him so much joy — especially when they laughed at his jokes, which he took as validation from a new generation.

Losing Terri shook him. They were a team — sometimes bickering, always loving — and now, they’re back together, probably watching shows or arguing about who left the lights on.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, unconditional love, and enough embarrassing stories to keep family gatherings lively for decades.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road. In lieu of flowers, please tell someone you love them, laugh at something silly, or raise a glass to the kind of man who loved hard, laughed louder, and didn’t take a single moment too seriously.

We love you, Dad; you are gone too soon. Give Mom a hug for us.
