Layton Weeks

Obituary of Layton Albert Weeks

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Layton Albert Weeks, who left us peacefully on June 14, 2025 at the age of 76.

Born and raised in Tidnish, Nova Scotia, Layton lived a life grounded in kindness, quiet strength, and deep devotion. His greatest joy was found in the care and love he so generously gave to his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved late wife, Claire Weeks whom he lovingly cared for throughout her illness, embodying true devotion and selflessness.

Layton took great pride in his career as a courier driver, where he worked hard each day and found joy in staying busy and active. He was known for his reliability, dedication, and the friendships he formed along the way.

Layton was the cherished son of the late Stella Weeks(Crossman) and James Albert Weeks, and dear brother to June O’Brien (Vic).

He will be forever cherished and deeply missed by his daughter Keri Nagy(Michael), his son Greg Jahn(Joanne), and his beloved grandchildren Chantal, Nicole, and Amber. His memory will also live on in the hearts of extended family and friends who were fortunate to know his gentle nature and giving spirit.

As a father, he was a steady source of support, guidance, and unconditional love. His family meant everything to him, and he gave freely of his time, his energy, and his endless patience. He lived his life with humility, always willing to lend a hand and never asking for anything.

Layton’s legacy is one of quiet grace — found not in grand words or gestures, but in the countless small acts of love, patience, and compassion that defined his life. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, his selfless nature, and the comfort of simply being in his presence.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in his honour.
