Obituary of Mary Murray Parker McGregor

In loving memory of Mary Murray Parker McGregor (née Rose) who passed away peacefully at her long-term care residence in Stittsville, Ontario at the age of 86. Predeceased by her loving husband, Frank B. McGregor, and her brother James Rose (Mary), sister Jessie Barclay (Robert), and her brother Douglas Rose (Margaret). She is survived by her brother Edward Rose (Frances), of Kanata, Ontario and her sister-in-law Muriel McGregor, of Aberdeen, Scotland; loving Mum to Frank (Joanne), Neil (Kristine) and Fiona (John). Much loved Nana to Morgan, Colin and Juliet, and Nana Mary to Michaela, Samantha and Mitchell, and Great Nana Mary to Arielle. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends in the United Kingdom, Canada and The United States. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Mary immigrated to Canada in 1967 with husband Frank, hoping for opportunity for their young and growing family. Known for her generosity and kindness, hosting family and friends gave her the greatest joy. A longtime employee of The Carleton Board of Education, retirement offered the chance to travel and to reconnect with the family she loved so dearly.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held June 8, 2025, 1- 3 pm, at The Royal Canadian Legion, Bells Corners Branch 593, 4026 Old Richmond Road, Ottawa, Ontario.
