





Obituary of Allan Boassaly
Allan George Boassaly was born in Montreal on the 8th of June, 1944 to Syrian and Lebanese immigrants Louis and Teresa (née Hafiza Barbara) Boassaly. The youngest of three children after his brother Nicholas and sister Bernice Brown (Chris) - both deceased - Allan's early life in Montreal was centred around his time at Rosemount High School and St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church.
Allan moved to Ottawa in 1963 and married Linda Bourada in 1965. He is survived by all three of their children: Andrea, Scott (Shelley) and Craig (Anita), as well as his four granddaughters Makayla, Hillary, Kara and Lauren and three step-grandchildren Deklan, Mikyla and Finlay.
Throughout his life, Allan owned a number of local businesses but is best known as the owner of Wellington Fruit Market in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Allan will be remembered for his big heart, sincere kindness and unwavering devotion to his family.
All are welcome to the funeral service and reception, which will be followed by a private interment. The funeral service and reception will be held from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM on the 29th of May at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 750 Ridgewood Avenue.
