Tony and I shared a long friendship with Barb and Ed, travelling on many trips together. Barb encouraged me to play golf and join the leagues at Carleton Golf and Country Club. Tony and I played with Barb and Ed in a few fun curling bonspiels. Barb was witty, kind, caring and full of fun. Even when she didn’t remember who we were she would hug you and stare at you as if she was looking into your soul. We send our heartfelt condolences to Ed and the entire family. Barb, your body and soul are now at peace. We will miss you. Maureen & Tony Stapley

Barb & Ed were quick to welcome a newcomer into their group of friends - who were many - when I first moved to Ottawa back in the early 80s. They became fast friends for decades to come, and we treasured that friendship. We cherish the memories made with them over the years.
