Obituary of John Alfred Falardeau

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of John Alfred Falardeau at St. Patrick’s Home on April 18, 2025, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 76. He died surrounded by his wife and family. 

After graduating as a Marine Engineer from the Canadian Coast Guard College, John spent his career as a public servant, spanning three decades and four provinces. He was a family man who loved music, baseball, and fly-fishing. 

John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Peggy (McEvoy); children: Patrick, Michelle (Phil), and Justin (Vicki); five grandchildren; and two sisters: Jane (Patrick Duff) and Jessica (Donovan Linney). 

Visitation will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre  2500 Baseline Rd., on Friday, May 2^nd from 11:00am until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 12noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Food Bank.
