I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Brenda Wilkie. I vividly recall when I first met Brenda and Wilmer shortly after I moved to Ottawa. It was in the very early 1980s when their youngest son was still a baby. During the following two decades until I moved to the west coast I had the blessing of attending many of the socials generously hosted by Brenda and her husband. She was always kind, outgoing and full of joy and laughter. I participated in choirs over this period and vividly recall her joy, enthusiasm and skill for singing. It was evident to me that she loved her husband and three children very deeply. Her passing is a terribly loss for them and I pass on to them my deepest condolences.
