Obituary of Patrick Joseph "PJ" Renaud

Patrick Joseph Renaud, fondly known as PJ.

Born in Grand Falls, Newfoundland and raised in Ottawa, ON, raising his family in the beautiful community of MacLaren's Landing.

PJ passed away suddenly on Saturday March 1st 2025, at the tender age of 53. PJ’s loving spirit is carried on by his wife Julie (of 25yrs), his two sons Dylan (Kymber) and Kyle and  proud Papa to his grandson Leo.

Preceded in death by his mother Bridgette Anne Renaud (Ballard), his father Marcel Renaud and his father-in-law Raymond Culleton. He held many aunts, uncles and cousins close to his heart and was truly admired by his mother-in-law Monique Culleton. He was protective of his close friends and family and was a loving brother to Marcel (Megan) Renaud, Lisa Culleton, Michelle (Shane) Smith and Richard Culleton. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces Alicia, Sophie Culleton, and Riley Smith, his nephews Tyler (Maddie) Bruyere and Tadhg Smith.

PJ was a proud father with a huge heart of gold. A true legend who's a weapon from wayback! He really loved the country life and watching hockey! He was also very proud of coaching his boys’ friends and was a great story teller.

We were honoured to be surrounded by his loud and intense personality, always being such a loyal giver. He also enjoyed sunsets, stars and took pride in maintaining the ice at ODR in Fitzroy. He loved playing goalie growing up and took pride spending his free time coaching Kyle and his teammates.

Fishing may have been his favourite pastime but band aids were required. His laugh and energetic spirit improved the lives of anyone who were fortunate enough to know him. His personal pride and joy was his grandson Leo.

PJ positively impacted everyone around him and he will be truly missed.
