We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of Gina Hedges, a beloved member of our PKD community. Gina’s kindness, dedication, and tireless efforts as Coordinator of the Ottawa Chapter and Walk Coordinator of the Ottawa Walk to END PKD made a lasting impact.
She brought people together—raising awareness, funds, and hope for those affected by polycystic kidney disease. Her work also helped connect patients and families in Ottawa to valuable resources, including the Eastern Ontario Cystic Renal Disease Centre of Excellence at Ottawa Hospital.
Gina’s warmth and generosity touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with her family and friends, and we’re incredibly grateful that her family has chosen to honor her memory through donations.
