Obituary of Eva Grace Hunt

Eva Grace Hunt daughter of the late Walter Thomas Tarbox and the late Cross Canada Foot Racer Jennie Dill Tarbox. 

 

September 23, 1930 - August 27,2026

 

Grace died a day short of her 78th wedding anniversary and a month short of her 96th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband George and her sons Chris and Rick. She is survived by her children Jan (Tony) Holmes, Steve (Marlene Gow), Heather (Grant) Sutherland, Lisa (Geoff) Bromfield, her grandchildren Tim Hunt, Jess (Tom Gmyrek) Caldwell, Allison (Rhys) Dulmage, Lindsay (Felipe) Pareja, Anna Crystal Hunt, Carly (John Forberger) Sutherland, Kate (Eric) Grandmaison,Thomas (Lauren Montgomery) Hunt and her great grandchildren Ryan, Megan, Saoirse, Emmylou, Matthew and Nicolas.

 

Many thanks to the staff at Landmark court who allowed Grace to live her last years  independently.  Thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Ottawa General 7NW unit who gently cared for her. And thank you to all of the wonderful people at Ruddy Schenkman who gave  her peace in her final days and sent her off to her final destination beautifully, her favourite music playing in the background. Her Thursday concerts gave her great joy, even in the end.
