Obituary of Dorothy Louise Dickey

Dorothy Louise Dickey (Joslin), 80, passed away on 26 July, 2026.

Dorothy was born in Kingston and moved to Ottawa to attend teachers college in 1964. John and Dorothy were married in 1967, and had 3 children together. Dorothy enjoyed working in Ottawa as a teacher, where she found life-long friends amongst her colleagues.

Dorothy enjoyed many hobbies including singing in the church choir, quilting, travelling, gardening, fitness classes, relaxing at the cottage and catching up with her friends.

Dorothy is survived by husband, John, children Michael, Barbara (Christian), Karen (Jordan), grandchildren Cooper, Ander, Asher and Myles, and brother Bill (Susan).

A Celebration of Life will be held at St Stephen's Presbyterian Church at 579 Parkdale Ave, Ottawa, ON on Saturday September 26, 2026 at 2 p.m. The family wishes to extend their thanks to all the caregivers at Bruyere Health for their compassionate and thoughtful care of Dorothy.
