Obituary of Teresa Lozano

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Teresa Lozano in Ottawa on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Teresa was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1934 to Juan Herrero and Teresa Folch. She grew up in Seville where she met her husband Manuel Lozano and started a family. They moved to Canada in the sixties where she embraced her new life with her ever-present optimism and joie de vivre.   

She will be deeply missed by her children Luisa, Andres (Marie), and Alexandra (Tim), her grandsons Alexander and Christopher (Hayley), her cousins, her many nieces and nephews, and friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Manuel, and son-in-law Pierre. 

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Valley Stream Residence, and teams from Ontario Health at Home and Carefor. 

Family and friends are welcomed at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM for a funeral service, and inurnment. A reception will immediately follow.
