Obituary of Norah Kathleen Pacey

Peacefully on May 11, 2026, at Hillel Lodge Ottawa.

Norah was the beloved mother of Kevin and the late Neil (survived by wife Jene). Sister to Derek Fortune (Helen) and Mark Fortune (Leane).  Aunt to niece Amy Nesbitt (Brian) and to nephews Luke Fortune, Brian Fortune (Janice), and the late Jeffrey Fortune. 

Norah was born and raised in Ottawa to where she eventually returned but lived for a time in France and then in Brampton, Ontario where she took joy in sharing the gift of music with the young students she taught.  Nora enjoyed writing poetry and eventually setting her words to music for her own original compositions.  

Nora was well taken care of for the past few years by the wonderful staff at Hillel Lodge which the family greatly appreciates.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.
