Obituary of Barbara Anne Thomas

Peacefully on the evening of February 9, 2026, with family by her side, Barbara, a loving sister, mother and grandmother passed away after a valiant battle with cancer.

Barbara will be sadly missed by her daughter Tina Rasmussen (Randy); grandchildren: Emily Desjardins (Jacob) and Jamie Rasmussen; great granddaughter Juniper; sisters Jackie Tippins and Connie Jardine (Brian); numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

She was predeceased by her father Leonard Thomas (Jeannette); mother Edna Grafton (Winston); husband James Glasner; son Kirk Rasmussen; grandson Tommy Rasmussen and brother-in-law Robert “Bob” Tippins.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Inurnment and Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
