Obituary of Patricia Alice Merry (nee Clapp)

Born in Ottawa on July 22, 1941 – died in Ottawa on January 29, 2026.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of “Patsy” on January 29, 2026.  Patsy is survived by her loving daughter Lynn, son Ron “Sam” (Nicole), grandchildren, Andrew (Kylie) Hurst, Danny (Heather) Hurst, Rhys, Ashley and Kellen, and great grandchildren Mae, Duncan, Oliver, Vivienne and Effy Hurst.  No one could put a smile on her face like her grandchildren and great grandchildren could.  Aunt to Jimmy and Debbie Gault, Sandie and George Wilson and Nancy Blair.  Predeceased by her parents, Ken and Isobel Clapp, sisters Jill Gault, Sandra Clapp and Judy Blair and son-in-law Neil Pritchard.  The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Thorncliffe Retirement Home for their friendship and care. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11am at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel.
