Obituary of Jacqueline Jackie Chevrier (née Théorêt)

Jacqueline “Jackie” Chevrier passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Born in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, she was the devoted wife of the late Donald “Don” Chevrier. Together, Jackie and Don were long-time owners of Don’s Variety on Rochester Street in Ottawa.

Jackie was a caring and loving mother to Lynne and Karen. She is fondly remembered by Lynne’s children, Derek, Keegan, and Faith, and by Karen’s son, Scott, each of whom brought her great joy and pride. Jackie was the last surviving member amongst her 14 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you gather with family and friends, share a meal, and tell “Jackie stories”.
