Obituary of Teresita Isit

Teresita passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at the Montfort Hospital.

She was born and raised in the Philippines, where she studied and started her nursing career with the Nuns. She emigrated to Canada on her own in the early 1960’s and began nursing at the Civic Hospital. She later changed to the Ottawa General Hospital for another 20 years until she retired. She was well-liked and respected by her medical peers.

In her spare time, Teresita volunteered at the Shepherds of Good Hope and enjoyed travelling. She had several hobbies, including gardening and sewing. She was never shy with words, and was known for her sharp wit. She will be missed by her fellow parishioners and her many friends in the local Filipino community.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Parish, 1640 Heatherington Rd.,on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10 a.m.
