Obituary of Carl Berrea

Carl Berrea passed away at the age of 71. Born in Ottawa, he spent his entire life in the city he called home.

Carl dedicated 35 years of service as a bylaw officer for the City of Ottawa before retiring. He was deeply devoted to his family and was a familiar, caring presence in his condominium community. He also enjoyed the occasional weekend spent at the Hull Casino.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Anne Rodney, and his daughter, Cassandra Berrea whom he called his little queen. He was a beloved brother to Earl Berrea and his wife Anita. 

In keeping with Carl’s wishes, a private cremation will take place for immediate family, as his wife Anne remains in hospital care.

Carl ultimately passed away from stage 4 cancer. The family extends sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Queensway Carleton Hospital for the care and compassion they showed him throughout much of this past year.
