Obituary of Rupinder (Rupa) Chawla

We are saddened to announce the passing of Rupinder Kaur Chawla, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 26, 2025, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Uttam, and is survived by her cherished son, Bobby (Elena), and grandson, Amun. She will also be missed by her sister Gogi and brothers Kuku, Chani , and Guncha; in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and care providers.

Rupa lived a full, good life and truly made the world a better place. We will miss her sensible guidance, but with her aches, pains, and creaky bones, we take comfort that she is now at peace and pray that she is in a better place.  

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Pinecrest Funeral Home at 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa. A video stream is available for those who were not able to attend. If interested in viewing virtually, please contact the family.
