Obituary of Heidemarie Phillips

Surrounded by family, Heidi Phillips (née Czerwenka) passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2025, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, at the age of 72.

Heidi leaves behind her loving husband Gordon, her daughter Cathy (Anthony), her son Chris (Stephanie), as well as her grandchildren Emily and Alex. She also leaves behind her sister Trudy, brother Freddy, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gertie, and her brother Peter.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Civic Hospital who cared for her and their needs in the final hours.

An informal, drop-in memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1-3pm at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre.To honour Heidi's love of all things Christmas, we would ask you, if you so feel inclined, to wear your favourite Christmas sweater to the gathering.
