My condolences on the passing of Al. He was my Captain for many years at #12 station on Carling avenue. Previous to COVID I looked forward to the reunion dinner each year when I would catch up with Al and others. Since retiring and moving to Montreal I missed the last few Reunion dinners and lost touch with many of the people I worked with, but Al was someone that I will always remember for his intelligence and quick wit. Firefighting requires a lot of teamwork and he was great at keeping our crews ready for action every shift. Garry Spence
