Dear Berry Family.
We read this morning December 4th. the passing of Steven, as "Bud" Berry fondly called him. Steven would call his mother "Marge" at times, and I remember with aghast when he said so. I would on the way to Woodroffe High School stop at the residence on Lawn Ave. There was always a fun time going forward. Mrs. Berry was a treasure, and Mr. Berry lived up to his main feature of being a dad. Steven and I had many fun times there and around the neighborhood. We would fish on the Ottawa River, and take our catch to the Golden Palace, where, we both enjoyed Chinese food in exchange for the game fish. They were happy and we were most happy also. We would from D. Roy Kennedy school in the winter, bunk the school bus bumper up the street to Carling Ave. Those were the days in the mid sixties. Steven and I met off and on over the years, but no memory building life acts were preformed. Steven had his faults, but, he was genuine, and had a quirky kind of humor. It was sad to see his passing and I will never forget the times we had.
I give a heartfelt emotion to his surviving family, and I wish the family peace in their time.
