Obituary of Collin Butler
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Collin James Vincent Butler on Monday, November 10, 2025. Collin will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents, Greg and Suzanne Butler, his sister, Natalie Butler, and brother-in-law, Andrew Sandness.
Collin was endlessly curious about the world around him. He loved to draw and read, to go to the theatre, to write and play music, and to share a great slice of pizza. He loved learning, observing, and absorbing everything around him. Collin’s laugh was infectious, and he cherished going on adventures—whether it was a show, a museum, or exploring a new city—always making memories and dancing his heart out along the way.
Though he may have left us to dance without him, his memory will forever be a source of joy and comfort to those who knew and loved him. May the force be with him.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Servies & Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, as we celebrate Collin’s bright and beautiful life. In honour of his vibrant spirit, we encourage guests to wear their favourite band t-shirt or a colourful outfit.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated, as Collin had a special place in his heart for his furry friends.
