Ann my heart felt condolences to you and your entire family. I only discovered this obituary today. You may not remember me but my name is Gord Mercer. We had some fun times way back when. I believe the last time I saw either of you was I think when you came back to Ottawa from being out west many years ago.
I’m married with 2 girls both of whom have 2 kids each. Man has time flown by.
All the very very best Ann.
Take care
Gord

To the Sterling family, it's with a broken heart that I sent my deepest condolences.
Over the 40 years of sharing a driveway (sorta speak) we shared countless moments. Some filled with laughter, others with challenges, but every memory is one I will forever cherish.
The Sterlings are more than just neighbors; they are a part of my life’s story. From watching Ralph work tirelessly in his garage on various projects, to setting up his backyard pool (which I was graciously invited to enjoy), to countless gatherings in my own backyard where the adults shared drinks while the kids filled the air with laughter and occasional playful spats, every moment holds a special place in my heart. I fondly remember the baseball games we played together as neighbors and so many other cherished experiences. Even through our ups and downs, there was always a sense of understanding and respect that I will carry with me forever.
I will always remember Ralph as a hardworking and devoted man who placed his family at the center of everything he did. His strength and determination were evident in the way he never stopped striving to provide for his loved ones. Ralph’s unwavering commitment and selflessness created a foundation of security and care that will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, resilience, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Though he is gone too soon, his light will continue to shine in the stories and moments we shared as neighbors.
Rest in peace, Ralph. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
