Francesco D'Angelo

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Francesco D’Angelo, born in Pretoro, Italy on April 25, 1941, who passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.

Francesco immigrated to Canada in 1956, where he built a life centered on family, tradition, and hard work.

He was the beloved husband of Jeannine D’Angelo (Demers) and a devoted father to Antonio (Nathalie Lucas), Lisa, and Sergio (Christine Tavares).

A loving Nonno, always ready with a joke and perfectly timed dad humour, he will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Anna and Cacia Ploeg, Gabriel and Raphael D’Angelo, and Luca D’Angelo.

Francesco also leaves behind his siblings Giuseppe (Ginette), Maria Concetta, and Maria Carmela and nephews Roberto and Mario (Kim). He was predeceased by his father Antonio D’Angelo and his mother Anna Colasante.

Francesco was known for his warm personality and wonderful sense of humour. He had a deep passion for gardening, wine making, and preparing elaborate meals while listening to Italian opera. Above all else, he cherished having his entire family gathered around the dinner table, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, extended relatives, and friends.

May he rest in eternal peace.

A special thanks to Ontario Health at Home for all their support.
