Dear Grandma,
I love you and miss you dearly. Thank you for your wise advice, your candid humour, and your faithful prayers for our family.
I will always remember the Saturday ritual of my childhood, where we would have lunch at the buffet and go grocery shopping together. I realize now how much I learned from you, from your appreciation for good food, to picking good fruit, to your philosophy for how to live life.
You also amazed Briana and I with your extensive stretching routine. While visiting us on one occasion, you even eased into the splits!
Thank you for being my grandma. And farewell, until the day we meet again in heaven.
Thank you Pau Pau for loving us and taking care of my brothers and I when we were younger. I have very fond and cherished memories of our family dinners together at buffets and Pizza Hut, and remember the soups you would make for us to drink, especially when we were sick. I remember being in the family car after shopping at Kowloon market and being shocked that the frog legs you bought were still jumping in the bag. I remember always having fun stepping on your feet massagers when we visited.
Most of all, thank you for raising your daughter, who became such a wonderful mother to me and my brothers. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity for you to see Jasmine and I get married, and to meet your great-grandson, Christian, who was also able to say Tai-Pau and give you a kiss.
We love you Pau Pau and are comforted to know you are at peace with the Lord. Farewell for now!

One of my earliest memories of you was playing at your house in Shearer Crescent in Ottawa and watching you do some cooking while you were babysitting me. I always enjoyed the soups you made for me and my family, and could tell you put in lots of time and effort in making them. I also remember being amazed at your exercise routines and your flexibility. My other fond memories include having family meals together, in restaurants and at homes, and being captivated by your storytelling.
A cherished memory of you is hearing you pray for me on several occasions and learning that you prayed for me often. Your commitment and faith is very touching and inspiring to me. Over the years and even to this day, what has been a source of encouragement for me was knowing that my grandma is praying for me and cheering for me - Thank you Pau Pau!

I will always cherish the memories of meeting up for family dinners and hearing your endless stories from the past. You were a great storyteller who could go on for hours. I was always fascinated by your appetite and how much you loved fish and could eat the whole one yourself!
You always wished us well and wanted the best for us.

Our mother was a remarkable woman – hardworking, courageous, resilient, generous and full of life.
She loved her children and grandchildren deeply, always making us her greatest priority. She often reminded me to take care of myself and my family before worrying about her. She supported and sent all her children to come to Canada for education and job opportunities. Mom, you did it well - we feel blessed to be living happily with our families in this land we now call home.
Mom was a Luk Tung Kuen 六通拳 master, she practiced every day and could perform many graceful and impressive movements. She loved cycling, and throughout her life, she enjoyed food, traveling, dancing, walking and hiking.
She especially loved making Chinese soups for her grandchildren. Those tasty, comforting soups truly warmed our hearts and lifted our spirits. Thank you, mom.
Above all, Mom was truly faithful in God. She constantly prayed for her children and grandchildren, leaning on Him in times of joy, and in times of challenge. Her example has left us with a lasting legacy of faith.

My dear mother had a joyful and adventurous spirit.
She loved crowds, fun activities, and telling stories —
and she even enjoyed roller coaster rides.
Family gatherings brought her the greatest happiness,
especially when all her children were together around a meal.
She had a deep love for food —
especially Chinese buffet and BBQ —
and she delighted in cooking nourishing Chinese soups.
Her warm smile, generous heart, and sense of humor
touched everyone she met.
She often reminded me, “God is helping us, even if we don’t see it.”
She will always be remembered for her faith,
her resilience, her joy,
and the deep love she had for her family.
