I was saddened to hear of JET's passing. I had the great privilege of being one of his students and worked with him closely when I was part of the Geography society at Carleton. While he is the reason I pursued my degree in geography, he was much more than that. He was a mentor and supporter. He was kind, smart and inspired me to be more and be more connected to place and people. My deepest condolences to family and to Al, I wish I was there to give you a big hug, I'm so sorry for your loss.
