I worked with Gary in 2001-2002. He was a little irritable at the time, given that he was waiting for either a knee or hip replacement. But, running into him few years later, once the surgery was done and the cane was gone, there was a sweetheart and a smile waiting to cut through the discomfort and come out, and a man eager to enjoy life again. I enjoyed my time working with him, and am saddened that I won't run into him again. My condolences to Gary's family and friends, of whom I'm certain he had many.
