My condolences to Maurice at the loss of Claudia. I first met Claudia at George’s Vanier School in 1981 where she was the one that kept everything running efficiently in the office as I entered my first year of teaching. She was a wonderful lady and after I left Ottawa, I was fortunate enough to see her at Rhoddy’s Bay at our summertime cottages. It was always lovely having a little chat with her as she was out for a walk past our cottage in the summer. This is a very sad obituary to read. Claudia's mother, my great aunt Bernadette, was my grandmother's sister, and Claudia's father, my great uncle Paul, was my grandfather's brother. Two brothers married two sisters. I hadn't seen Claudia in recent years, but knew her well when she was with the St. Joe's in Pembroke. My family home was a block away from the Motherhouse in Girouxville, and I ran into Claudia many times at my parents' house back in the day. Claudia had her mother's wit and her father's resolve and a personality of her own that endeared her to everyone who knew her. She will be missed by many, and often. May she rest in peace.

Maurice, I am so sorry to hear about the great loss of Claudia. There are so many things I cherished about her. Her theology was strong, wise, full of possibilities with some untidiness, which I and many loved. Conversations were wonderful, open, and cheery. It seems we always solved lots of issues. Claudia was a creator of new pathways. Those of us who were part of a large and awake group for decades, never tired of coming together with both Maurice and Claudia. We left knowing where we could and should be. Claudia lightened our way and I and WE will always remember her. Thank you Claudia for being in my life and that of many. Nickie
